Volunteers

The Flower Mound High School Football Program depends on each family to support the concession stands.

We are requesting the families of each player to volunteer for at least 2 concession positions.  This can be 2 people for 1 night, or 1 person for 2 nights.

Please review the concession stand openings for Varsity and Middle School nights.  To Volunteer for any of the open concession positions, please contact ****** and please include in your email:

  1. Your name
  2. Date and time requested.
  3. Your email and phone number.

In addition to the Concession Stands, there are many additional areas to apply your talents in support of your team member.  Please review theOpportunities to Serve page for a description of the various committees.

There are many opportunities to serve.  Please ensure that you get involved.  If you would like more information or are ready to volunteer, please click the following link.

Concessions

Stand Manager – supervises sales team in the setup, selling, and closing of a concessions stand.  Varsity games (4) will be split with one manager assisting from setup through half-time and the other from half-time through close.  Middle School games require 1 Stand Manager per night and will split the season with another manager (5 evenings total).  There are 8 Stand Manager positions available.

Sales Team – assist in the setup, sales, and closing of concessions stands at Varsity and Middle School games.  All player families are required to serve at least 1 shift per parent per season.  Stand Managers are exempt from this requirement.

Please volunteer.

Spirit Wear

The committee chair serves as a liaison with Flipdog Sportswear to order spirit wear, and coordinates sales at home games, Thursday lunch sales, open house, Spring Scrimmage, and the Fall kick-off meeting.  We will need approximately 40 people to staff all sales events.

Programs

This committee produces the game day programs (Home games only).  Responsibilities include selling ads to local businesses, designing and editing the layout, working with the printer and procuring the pictures and stats for the program.

Membership

The committee chair is responsible for maintaining a membership list for all family memberships, attending all mandatory parent meetings to accept forms and money from parents, and reporting at least monthly, the running membership total at Football Booster Club meetings.

Spirit

This committee plans and manages all Varsity game night “themes”; e.g., Chick-fil-a kick a goal half time kickers (one per Home game), Elementary School Night, Homecoming (varsity float only at parade), game day announcement sign distribution, and designing (with the t-shirt vendor) and selling the Annual Mound Showdown shirt for Charity.  Contact Leslie Tarman for more information.

Tailgating

Assist the tailgating chefs (The Williamsons) with the set up and tear down (setting up tables, paper goods, trays, etc.) at the tailgating barbeques at each away game.  Work usually begins 2 hours before kick-off and is complete just prior to kick-off. Volunteers do not need to be available for every game.

Jaghead Crew

Sets up the Jag Head tunnel before kickoff and second half of all Varsity games; blows the horn when the Jags score; transports equipment to away games; sets up and retrieves stand flags for home games.  Opportunities – 10-12 dads to assist with all of the activities above.  It is not imperative that you are able to attend every game.  This is a great opportunity to be on the field and help fire up your player.

Team Mom’s

Serve as the main line of communication between coaches and families via email.  Freshman Team Mom’s take orders for athletic bags, keep track of who has paid for game day shirts, and order game day meals and pass them out at school.  Opportunities – 3 Freshman Team Mom’s (one from each Middle School); and 1 each for JV and Varsity.

Banquet

This committee plans and manages the annual Jaguar Football Banquet.  Responsibilities include securing the venue, preparing decorations, coordinating invitations and RSVPs, wrapping banquet gifts, and decorating on the day of the banquet.  Contact Lisa Jackson (972-824-7113) for more information.

Chain Gang

Three people needed for each Freshman and JV home games

Engagement Committee

Committee members plan and conduct incoming Freshman and season kick-off meetings.  The purpose of the committee it to maximize participation in all Football Booster Club activities.
